CORPS-BOC-MBK Sends Off PNPA Class 2012

Sending off the newly graduated Police Inspectors to their new assignments in Mindanao was a heartrending and perhaps painful moment for the members of the CORPS, BOC and MBK. Perhaps, this was due to the thought that this might be the last time that they will see their brothers which was hard for all of them. Still, each and everyone believed that all things will work together for good for all those who were called by God and this assurance alone have given them delight as the new brothers and sisters venture to a new phase in their lives.

Ptr. Raymond Go Head Pastor of the Cadet Christian Fellowship and the rest of the former CCF members of PNPA class of 2012 Sinagtala joined the weekly Anteroom Bible study to be one in prayer with the rest of their CORPS-BOC-MBK family for God’s sovereignty and protection towards the brothers and sisters.

Fighting back tears, Ptr. Raymond Go gave farewell reminders to the class recounting how God was good to them and how they should have a positive outlook on the dangers awaiting them. He also advised them to always trust in God and be reminded that the “God they meet as cadets in the academy is the same God that will sustain them in the field.”

PI Lurube “Gemboy” Rojo, in behalf of his class, responded with a heartfelt thank you to Pastor Go and his IGSL staff who has helped him, to the Bless Our Cops churches (Caloocan Christian Church, Greenhills Christian Fellowship and Christ Commissioned Fellowship) who has adopted them as sons and daughters and of course his elder Christian brothers from the CORPS Movement Foundation who will continue to oversee their Christian growth and progress were ever they may be assigned.

In the closing prayer given by PSSUPT Cesar Hawthorne Binag, he blessed each and everyone that has attended the prayer gathering and has prayed for the safety of the brothers wherever their assignment maybe.

CORPS-BOC-MBK Pays Courtesy Visit to PCSUPT Clarence Guinto

Almost 10 years ago a very unassuming Police Superintendent was invited to a small bible study group at the Cabana Restaurant inside Camp Crame. The very undemanding and courteous officer was quite thankful of the warm reception that he received from the group and eventually became a fond believer of a Christ-centered, Family-based and Service-Oriented PNP.

Last June 20, 2012, the CORPS-BOC-MBK movement paid visit to this gentle officer who was named as the new Director of the Philippine National Police Academy: PCSUPT Clarence Guinto.

The group, which was led by PSUPT Bernie Banac and was composed of PSINSP Gus Ferrer, Ptr Raymond GO of the Cadet Christian Fellowship, Ptr. Danao Afuang of the JOSHUA Ministry of the GCF, Bro. Boi Manuel and Jojo Dellosa of the BOC Movement Foundation, promised full support to the programs and directives of PCSUPT Guinto.

PCSUPT Guinto on the other hand promised his support to the CORPS-BOC-MBK movement and has given his blessing to the Cadet Christian Fellowship and its members.

The group also joined Col. Guinto and his group to the TalkBack: Payback Seminar wherein second class cadets were given advices by civilians and policemen on how should the policemen interact with their community. PSUPT Banac gave advice on how a cadet should treat his family. PCINSP Ferrer focused on the value of being financially sound. Ptr. Raymond Go talked about the need of having Christ. Ptr. Dan, Boi and Jojo talked about maintaining a morally grounded career in the PNP.

In the end, the cadets was thankful as they were guided to the correct paths that they should take.

BLESS OUR COPS 4 Returns to CDO

In an effort to be accountable to the pastors and volunteers who have continually shown their support to the aspirations and goals of Blessing the Cops Community and Country, the BOC4 movement returned to Cagayan De Oro to gather, re-organize and train pastor and volunteers in the region.

The group led by PSUPT Bernie Banac, Ptr. Dan Afuang of JOSHUA Ministry of the CCF and Boi Manuel met last June 18 with a pastoral group organized by Ptr Nas Silava BOC Coordinator for Northern Mindanao in order to report the ministry activities around the Philippines as well as rechallenge them again to be change agents to their community and country by joining the police ministry.

The group also met with MBK brothers who were assigned in Mindanao led by PCINSP Raffy Gonda. This was an effort to renew camaraderie and bond between brothers and keepers who have lost contact with each other.

Bon Voyage Bong Durana

Another member of the Christian Officers Reform the Police Service (CORPS) Movement Foundation was blessed by God to have an opportunity to study at the John F. Kennedy School of Leadership in Harvard University: Police Senior Superintendent Benigno "Bong" Durana Jr.

Bro. Bong who is not only known to be one of the best police officer in the country, winning the Lingkod Bayan and Ten Outstanding Cops, but is also known to be one of the pillars in the police ministry in Camp Crame where in a lot of policemen came to know Christ.

In a simple dinner hosted by his brother in the CORPS Movement, prayers and appreciations were shared to Bro. Bong as he prepares for his study leave. Brothers in the movement also shared their testimony on how God has used Bro. Bong for them to know Christ better.
In behalf, Bon Voyage Bong Durana!
