Gene Promoted as Region 1 Commander

Soon to be PSSUPT Gene Tolejano was blessed by being assignedd as the PNP Maritime Regional Commander for Region 1. He will be based in Dagupan City, Pangasinan where he will enjoy the fellowship of our brothers based in the north and will have support from BOC4 partner More than Conquerors Business Club in Pangasinan.

Alvin Marries Sis. Sheryl

Bro. Alvin Ang, one of the ministers of the gospel of CCF in San Fernando, La Union who was very instrumental in the transformation of PSUPT Jun Borromeo tied the knot with his former girlfriend Sheryl Uy (now his wife) at a private but jubilant ceremony at the One Esplanade. The CORPS Movement is praying for the involvement of Bro. Alvin in the police ministry here in Manila or at his home town in Cabanatuan.

Bernie Celebrates 40

PSSUPT Bernie Banac celebrated his 40th year and was thankful for the ministry and friendship of the CORPS Movement Foundation. In a simple rite with his Hospital Breakfast Club, Col. Banac was prayed for by his friends, fellow officers and brothers. He prays and believes for more fruitful years in ministry.

Yenyen is Dedicated to the Lord

The cutest of the Borromeo’s (Sorry Sir Jun...si Yenyen po yun) was dedicated to the Lord last October in a simple Christian rites that was attended by the family’s friends from all over spectrum of life (showbiz personalities, politicians, businessmen, policemen, military, pastors etc). Yenyen who served as the inspiration to the family during the most critical moment of their life, surely deserved the attention from her guests as she also celebrated her 3^rd birthday.

Gus is Back and He Brought Along Peter Pan...er

After surviving 3 months of Parang Maguindanao, PCINSP Virgilio Seifred Ferrer is back in Manila. Fresh from the field, Doc Gus’ new experiences and insights has given him new perspective in serving the Lord as well as ministering to fellow men in uniform. As soon as he landed in Manila, he brought along a fellow Christian Police Doctor to the group: PCINSP Peter Paner.

Doc. Peter who is also devoted church worker for Day-by Day ministry hopes that his passion in serving his church will also rub off when he begins to minister his fellow police officer.

 Lyndon is now Police Consul in San Fran

One of the founding members of the CORPS Movement Foundation received a desired posting abroad which he has prayed for a couple of months. PSSUPT Lyndon Cubos has been generously blessed by the Lord by giving him the desires of his heart which is a testament of God’s grace. Although, he will not be physically present with the rest of his brother for two years, he will remain a staunch supporter and contributor to the police ministry in the PNP.

A small send-off was prepared by the CORPS Movement Foundation with pastors and fellow officers alike to pray for Col. Cubos and his family in San Fransisco as they adapt in the United States.

Joshua Volunteers Purposely and Passionately Pursue BOC4

For nine years the Greenhills Christian Fellowship, as part of their pastoral equipping thrust –which could be loosely translated as their love towards those who share the gospel, have been pampering ministers of the gospel to the full as part of their Purpose and Passion Seminar. They house them for a three day seminar in Manila which includes free meals, accommodation and lectures from renowned speakers from here and abroad. They have given them access to their church and their resources. They gave them books, medical consultation and provided them with key contacts and networks wherein they could further reach their communities for Christ.

Part of those who share in such grace are those pastors, ministers and laymen who are ministering towards the Armed Services or part of the Jesus Offers Salvation Hope and Unity to the Armed Forces (JOSHUA) ministry. Dispensed over all key cities and regions of the Philippines, these ministers have reached far flung outposts, precincts and detachments (even those on hostile grounds) to minister to the soldiers of the AFP and policemen of the PNP.

This year 50 new pastors from all over the country and even across denominational line  has committed to share and be part of the ministry as they saw the vision of BOC4 as part of the Purpose and Passion Seminar. Bro. Boi Manuel shared the thrust of BOC4 and explained to the ministers how ministering to the policeman could help a church to be equipped, could help a church reach out to its community and to finally be a part of nation building.

PSUPT Jun Borromeo gave them his testimony and explained how a minister could help change a once hardened cop and how that changed policeman could make an impact in ministry.

PSSUPT Cesar Binag and Elder Mike Aspirin also shared the history of the JOSHUA and its partnership with the CORPS and their ministry in the AFP and the PNP.

BOC4 Youth Kicks-Off in UPLB

With a vision to reach out to younger generation of Christians for them to have a positive view towards their policemen, community and country, the BOC 4 leadership team have  opened the BOC4 program to the young leaders of tomorrow.

Hoping that the same formula of discipling and mentoring Christian leaders in the PMA and the PNPA could be replicated elsewhere, the leadership of the BOC 4 has been praying for schools wherein they could pilot their youth leadership program.

During the Purpose and Passion seminar of GCF, some volunteer pastors and academe were open to hear the idea and invited the BOC4 leadership to have a small meeting in UP Los Baños. The team meet with Ptr. Don Villareiz of the Los Baños Evangelical Baptist Church,UP Professors’ Letty Afuang and Manolo Loce who have adopted the vision and has offered their skills and resources to accommodate it in the campus.

The mechanics of the program are currently being discussed as it will be pursued upon the next set of meetings.

I-Care Partners with CORPS Movement in Reaching Out PNP Health Services

The I-Care ministry of the Bread of Life church has joined the police ministry as it partnered with the CORPS Movement Foundation to reach out the Philippine National Police particularly the PNP Health Service.

I-Care led by Bro. Jerry Ong, Dodie Lacuna, Dr. Gina Caballero and Jose Camello was very glad when a ministry door quickly opened to the group that will enable t reach out to the doctors, dentists, nurses and police personnel of the Philippine National Police-HS.

Just after paying a quick courtesy call to PSSUPT Angelita Vidal MD, Director of the PNP-HS; plans and opportunities has already been lined for I-Care. They were given a special role in the promotion of health and spiritual wellness in a joint event of the HS and the Directorate for Police Community Relationship (DPCR). They were also given passes to minister to the wards of the PNP-General Hospital and to conduct wellness programs among the sick. They are also given an audience with the nurses of the PNP hospital wherein they may share their expertise and experience in personal development.

Truly, God is opening up the vineyard of the PNP.

PNP-HSS Opens for the Lord

“But rise and stand on your feet; for I have appeared to you for this purpose to make you a minister and a witness both of the things which you have seen and of the things which I will yet reveal to you." (Acts 26:16)

God was working in our life long before we began working with Him. The Lord knew us before time began, and He knew what He wanted to do with your life (Jer 1:5; Ps. 139:13).  Before the apostle Paul’s conversion experience on the road to Damascus, Jesus already knew Paul and had a specific assignment for him; but, Jesus only revealed this assignment after Paul’s conversion (Acts 9:15). Although God knew what He wanted for Paul, He waited to reveal it to him until He gained his attention and became his Lord. Our Lord does not come to us to discover what he would like to accomplish for Him. He encounters us in order to reveal to us His activity and invite us to become involved in His work. An encounter with God requires us to adjust ourselves to the activity of God that has been revealed. God never communicates with us merely to give us a warm devotional thought for that day. He never speaks to us simply to increase our biblical knowledge. Our Lord has far more significant things to reveal to us than that! He invites us to join Him in the work He is doing.

We all encountered God, one way or the other and after such encounter He has revealed to us a mission.

In PSUPT Jun Borromeo’s case, after his encounter with God at the most trying times of his life, it was to open up ministry opportunity wherever he went. He discipled a small group in San Fernando where he was incarcerated. He opened up his home and business in Isabela as place of worship. He used his contacts in Dagupan and Isabela to set-up ministry opportunity to the police and last September 5, 2011, he opened up his own office at the PNP Headquarter Support Service (HSS) to be ministered.

A group of 30 PCO’s and PNCO’s attended the first Bible study devotion at the PNP-HSS Conference Room where PSUPT Jun Borromeo shared hislife changing testimony, Elder Mike Aspirin shared the Word of God and PSSUPT Cesar Binag led his fellow policemen into a prayer of acceptance.

Later in the day, he helped volunteers of the CORPS Movement Foundation to reach out to the PNP custodial service wherein high-profile crime suspects and state witnesses are being held. He even shared his new-found faith to his fellow Rotarians in Caloocan the same night.

All of this ministry serves as a living testimony of a mighty encounter with God.

CORPS Movement Honors Former C,PNP Jesus A. Versoza

Amidst the allegations against him brought about by the Senate inquiry on the 2^nd hand chopper deals of the PNP, the CORPS movement chose to bless, honor and pray for PDG Jesus A. Versoza for his enabling support in spreading the gospel to all of the PNP’s unit through the Integrated Transformation Program.

Last September 8, 2011, a small and private dinner was held in his behalf wherein pastors and laymen shared their testimonies of how the ITP program of the PNP gave them access to preach and disciple policemen from all over the Philippines. The event was purposely set to encourage and rally behind Gen. Versoza who have undeservingly received the brunt of criticism from the whole chopper fiasco.

Ptr. Joshua Bontogon, Ptr. Ismael Jiao and Ptr. Anton Birol shared of their works in Caloocan, As well as Ptr. Walter Ibanez in Marikina, Ptr Danny Punay in Cagayan Province, Ptr Jim Delos Santos in Rizal, Ptr. Nanding Alconga in Quezon City, Ptr. Ralph Magalit in Quezon City.

Each pastor also shared a verse for reflection, a word of encouragement and bestowed a personal blessing to the former Chief of the PNP.

In the end, Gen. Versoza gladly thanked the pastors and officers of the CORPS and was grateful for the dinner and fellowship.

BOC Davao: Reaching Out to Mindanao

After a experiencing and seeing the vision of BOC4 during GCF’s Purpose and Passion Seminar (see related article), longtime CORPS Movement partner PSSUPT Resty Gatera invited over the members of the BOC4 movement to visit him in Davao City and to cast the vision of the BOC towards police ministers.

Last September 7, 2011, the BOC4 team exactly went to Davao and encourage, equipped and enlightened pastors on how to widen their police ministry to help out equip the church, expand their works to their community and eventually have a vision for their country.

PSUPT Bernard Banac encouraged and challenged the pastors of Davao to have a heart for the police ministry, be a blessing to them and be strongly be involved in the evangelization of precincts and stations all throughout Mindanao.

Bro Boi Manuel presented the vision of BOC4 and helped pastors be open minded of ministry opportunities in the policemen by teaching of different creative ways in purposely encountering policemen.

The team also visited PSSUPT Jun Aspera, Police City Director of Davao City, and MBK brothers who are based in the city.
