Alike Miguel De Legazpi five centuries ago, The BOC4 team has reached Cebu city with an intent making the Queen City of the South an epicenter of Christian faith in the Visayas. And like the conquistadors of the days of yore: PSUPT Jun Borromeo, PSUPT Bernie Banac, Ptr. Dan Afuang and Bro. Boi Manuel was warmly greeted by would-be volunteers in anticipation of the Gospel and the ideals of reaching the police, church, community and country for Christ.
The team went around the city for two-days to talk to pastors and friends who would like partner to such undertaking. A group of pastors from the CBAP were first to welcome the team in a fellowship over coffee on how to effectively touch the city and the country as well by the police and military platform.
The team then met with the Victory Church in Cebu who welcomed the idea of adopting young cadets from the PNP and the AFP as part of the My Brother’s Keeper program of the CORPS Movement. Partners from Victory were introduced by Ptr. Eugene Ramirez who also adopts the Bless Our Cops program in Tacloban.
All-in-all the group meet with pastors: Arnold Yee, Narciso Barril, Michael Alino, Benjie Vicentillo and Dutch Manzano who were all willing to bless their policeman in their city.
The group also met some brothers in the MBK and some friends who welcomed them with a sumptuous meal and a time for devotion before heading back to Manila.
