Bless Our Cops Lucena: CALBARZON Tour Starts with a Bang!

Much has been anticipated about the extension of the BOC program in the Southern Tagalog provinces. Finally, after much prayer, the BOC4 program has reached the commercial and political center of the region-Lucena City.

PSUPT Jun Borromeo was used by God to contact his mistah PSSUPT Valeriano Santos the Provincial Director of Quezon Province in gathering police ministers all over the towns of Quezon. Col. Borromeo who shared the program to his classmate wanted to strengthen and support the existing pastors who are ministering to the police with a vision to further bless the cops, empower the church, reach their community and ultimately bless the country.

The event finally took place last April 20, 2012 at the Quezon Provincial Police Office in Camp Nakar in Lucena City.

It was then followed by a talk Pastor Gil del Rosario who is a part of Wyden King’s group and who wanted to train pastors to be self-sufficient. Then by Ptr. James Guilan of Lingkod Care who wanted to help pastors by his organization LingkodCare to organize and be blessed. The day was wrapped up by a talk of PSSUPT Ma.o Aplasca who shared how Cagayan provincial police was helped by ministers to be a God-centered, Service Oriented and Family Based police office.

The Bangus Run: A Story Faith of One Man’s Faith

With faith of a mustard seed, a man can move mountains…such was the faith of our brother Gene.
After assuming the post of Provincial Maritime Commander of Region 1, PSUPT Genesis Tolejano was assigned with a onerous task of patrolling the expansive extent of the Lingayen Bay. Making it more difficult was the fact that he had to do it with only three patrol boats.

But he had faith and it was enough for him to shine in an assignment with minimal resource.

Learning the situation of his office, his brothers from the CORPS Movement spurred on the idea to conduct and support raising activity that will help him to raise a water asset for his men. PSUPT Eric Noble, Boi Manuel, Dan Afuang and Bro. Jojo Dellosa who visited Col. Tolejano in Dagupan last year connected him with Christian brothers who have a heart with the police.

The Christian Evangelical Ministers Fellowship of Dagupan led by their police ministry head Ptr. Jun Centeno, More the Conquerors Business Club led by their Chairman Ashok Vasadani and Adsense Marketing led by Aries Aguilar grouped together and helped Col. Tolejano to design a marathon that would not only help him in his campaign to raise funds for a water asset but also spread awareness about the dangers of dynamite fishing and the need for environmental protection in the Lingayen Gulf.

Last April 21, 2012, the event (dubbed as the Bangus Run which officially started the weeklong Bangus Festival of Dagupan City) came to fruition with astounding success. One thousand runners from all over Pangasinan and beyond came and supported the event. The business sector, local government, students and Pangasinense from all walks of life came and supported the event.

Surely a mustard faith could go a long way…
(As of writing the CEMF of Dagupan, is already securing a boat which will be turned over to the PNP-Maritime Office)
